The Day Cycle is the 20-hour in-game period (from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM the next day) during which The Alchemist can perform activities. Every in-game hour lasts for one real-life minute. The passage of time is tracked by the UI element in the top-right corner of the screen, which displays the following information:
- The current Season: (
Spring,
Summer,
Fall, or
Winter) - The day of the week: (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, or Sun)
- The calendar day: (from 01 to 28)
- The current hour: (Although the game tracks minutes, the UI displays the time rounded down to the previous 10-minute interval, e.g., 8:10).
- The amount of
Coins currently held.
Throughout the day, Villagers follow unique schedules; they always begin their day in their respective bedrooms and return there to end it. Similarly, shops across the islands open and close according to the current time. Time won't flow inside the Infinidungeon.
Start of Day
Day begin at 6:00 AM if The Alchemist went to sleep in a bed or couch at any time during the previous day. Passing out anywhere else will begin the following day at the later time of 9:00 AM. In both cases:
- A Weather condition is set for the entire day, affecting all Islands. The possible conditions (Sunny, Rainy, or Snowy) depend on the current season.
- The
Stamina bar and all Spirit's
HP are fully replenished. - Any Stats modified the previous day are reset to zero.
Regular Mail is delivered directly to the
Mailbox, while any urgent Mail will be delivered immediately upon The Alchemist leaving Home or the Magic Man's House.
The time The Alchemist wakes up can only be modified by Skills from the Home branch of the Social category.
- Morning Person increase by 10% chance of waking up at 5:00 AM.
- Bright and Early increase by 20% chance of waking up at 5:00 AM.
- Early Riser increase by 30% chance of waking up at 5:00 AM.
Sunset
Sunset begins at 18:00 PM. From this point onward, darkness gradually diminishes the field of vision until it becomes equivalent to the darkness inside Mines and certain Dungeon rooms. This visibility penalty can be mitigated in two ways:
- The Skill Luminous, from the Scavenging branch of the Foraging category, permanently increases the field of vision by 50% at night.
- Consuming a
Night Vision Potion will completely negate the darkness for a single night.
Additionally, as the night progresses,
Moonstone become easier to spot as they glow in the dark, making them visible even from behind grass and trees.
End of the Day
Days end when The Alchemist either goes to bed or passes out from exhaustion. Passing out occurs under the following conditions:
- The in-game clock reaches 2:00 AM.
- The
Stamina bar is fully depleted. - All Spirits inside the
Medallion have their
HP reduced to zero during Combat.
Attending a Date with a Villager between 20:00 PM and 23:50 PM will also end the day immediately, regardless of the date's outcome.
Spirits kept inside the Spirit Barn will consume any
Fibre or Crops from their
Spirit Stalls; if they go multiple days without being fed, they will escape into the wild. Spirits that remain well-kept inside the Barn have a chance to yield Spirit Resources or Spirit Eggs, and any Spirit Eggs placed in
Spirit Nests will hatch after a certain number of days. Separately, counts on Dungeons cleared, Spirits discover, tamed and banished are updated, any Items sold through a
Sell Crate will yield
Coins, Skill points earned during the day can be allocated to new Skills and the game's progress will be saved up to that point.
