In Moonstone Island's combat system, you fight by choosing cards that have moves on them. There are two types of move: Attack and Skill. Some moves correspond with a specific element and will not appear in the card decks of Spirits of other elements. Below is a list of moves and what they do:

Fancy Spin | 0 | Skill | None | Discard 1 card. Draw 1 card. | Adds a selected card to the discard pile, and draws the top card from the draw pile. | Adds a selected card to the discard pile, and draws the top 2 cards from the draw pile. |
Flame Feed | 0 | Skill | Fire | Remove half of target’s Burn and regain that much HP. | Removes half of the target's Burn, and heals the user the amount of Burn removed. | Removes all of the target's Burn, and heals the user the amount of Burn removed. |
Focus | 1 | Skill | Earth | Reduce the cost of all Tackle cards to 0 for this turn. | When you play this card, for the rest of the turn Tackle cards will cost 0 to play. | When you play this card, for the rest of the battle Tackle cards will cost 0 to play. Adds Exhaust to the card. |
