Spirits are elemental creatures possessing a deep, intrinsic connection to nature. Millennia ago, they were revered by humanity for imparting the knowledge to harness power from the elements. This relationship eroded as human civilization grew arrogant, ultimately severing their bond with nature. This transgression angered the Spirits, causing them to forget their shared history with humanity and become Wild, to the point of attacking any human on sight.
There are currently 88 distinct base species, with 30 of these capable of evolution through the use of an
Evo Stone. Including the 6 Boss Spirits brings the total number to 123. Each Spirit is aligned with one of the eight Elements (or two, in the case of an Evolved Spirit). Every species possesses predetermined base stats and a unique ability that aids in either combat or exploration. Most Spirits can be hatched from Spirit Eggs.
There is a 0.2% chance of encountering a Holographic Spirit. These rare variants feature an alternate color scheme and a shimmering visual effect, and they receive one additional stat point every five levels.
Wild Spirits
Wild Spirits are found roaming the Islands (with the exception of Moonstone Island), as well as within Mines, Dungeons and Temples. They typically spawn in their matching elemental Biome or during specific weather conditions and seasons aligned with their Element. Wild Spirits will become aggressive upon detecting The Alchemist, unless an
Invisibility Potion is used. Engaging with a Wild Spirit will commence a combat during which Wild Spirits can either be banished or can be subdued by feeding them Crops or Concoctions that provide
Tame points. Boss Spirits cannot be tamed.
The appearance of certain species in the wild is conditional. Some Spirits will only begin to spawn naturally after the player has first obtained one by hatching a Spirit Egg and then releasing it back into the wild. Similarly, the evolved form of a Spirit only appears as a wild encounter after The Alchemist has evolved it first.
Tamed Spirits
The
Medallion can accommodate up to three Spirits simultaneously to assist The Alchemist in combat. Additional tamed Spirits must be housed in a
Spirit Barn or transferred to Spirit Storage. Spirits gain experience (
XP) from successful combat encounters; leveling up improves their Stats and unlocks new or enhanced Spirit Cards, enabling more sophisticated strategies.
