Treasure Map

The Treasure Map is an item that can be found at random on any island in the game. Inspecting the item will show you an image of a (usually) different island along with a red 'X' marking where the treasure is. If you find yourself on one of these islands, use the map to get yourself into the estimated position of where the 'X' is, and use your Hoe to start digging! If you dig in the correct spot, a chest pops out.

Treasure maps that you haven't cleared yet have a sell price of 1coin.

Upon completion, the item will change in your inventory into a map with a check mark on it.

Treasure map (cleared) can be sold for 100coins. Cleared treasure maps can be given to NPCs as gifts, but the game will not let you give an uncleared treasure map as a gift (it will be grayed out in your inventory after selecting the "give gift" option).

Treasure Hunting Tip: Pay attention to the color of the land in the treasure maps as well as on your map. Every type of island has a particular color of land.
